I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer; born in Iceland and currently based in London. Since training in the U.K. as a Theatre Designer I have worked internationally on a range of projects including theatre, film, television, exhibition- and museum design, as well as working in a variety of media.I am a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, have done magor commitions, including in Westminster and Swindon. I was awarded the Florence Trust Redidency 2006/7 and have exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in the UK, Denmark and Iceland.

I create scalable, multi sensual, site-specific, public and private art pieces, installations and designs.

I work in a variety of materials depending on site or subject matter, but light always plays a very important role in my work; - be it controlled lighting as a part of the piece, or the impact of the natural or uncontrolled ambience light on the work.

I have been developing a specially constructed paper/material, which in its simplest form consists of tissue paper embedded in either gloss varnish or resin. This creates a translucent skin like flakes and embedding digitally printed images onto these “flakes” creates an ethereal effect, lending itself well to the exploration of unclear memories and ambiguity. Layering it with gold & silver leaf, painted backdrops, fabrics and/or found objects, creates a confusing ambience and puts a spin on the reality of the subject. In my largest works using this material, I have included life feed, video and slide projections, lighting, sound and even smell. Through this material and method I am finding quite a uniquely personal visual language that lends itself well to my subject interests, which include all manner of remains, lingering memories, and hovering reminders of the past.
