She has run her own business as a Blacksmith since 2001, often working as a team member for some of the country's leading Blacksmith's on projects such as the Winston Churchill Memorial Screen at St. Paul 's Cathedral, London . She also demonstrated gilding techniques on metalwork for the restoration of Sacramento Cathedral, California USA.She has exhibited in London , Somerset and Newcastle .

Throughout the course of my MA in Design, I have chosen to develop lighting that reacts with the materials that often contain it. I am interested in the qualities that reflectivity can offer in terms of light and am currently exploring my knowledge of metals and other materials. I aim to use scrap materials and low energy light sources and am keen to explore both low tech and high tech ways to create lighting. Much of my current inspiration is from natural forms.

I am also interested in the potential for using sustainable light sculpture as public art in residential and neglected spaces. I have become involved with groups interested in promoting lighting design in the social realm, such as Guerrilla Lighting and Social Light Movement.
